Dr. Saskia Dönitz

Saskia Dönitz ist Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Seminar für Judaistik der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt a.M.

Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in der Geistes- und Kulturgeschichte der Juden des Mittelalters mit einem speziellen Fokus auf dem byzantinischen Raum als Knotenpunkt der östlichen und westlichen Kultursphäre. In Verbindung mit Überlieferungs- und Rezeptionsgeschichte geht sie der Frage nach den intellektuellen Netzwerken nach. In ihren Publikationen diskutiert sie jüdische Historiographie im Mittelalter, das Profil der Juden in Byzanz und die verschiedenen Facetten der jüdisch-christliche Beziehungen.


In ihren Lehrveranstaltungen behandelt Saskia Dönitz jüdische Kultur- und Literaturgeschichte von der Antike bis ins Mittelalter (Historiographie, Exegese, Polemik, materielle Kultur).
